Post-Dead Bird

Broke 150 downloads this week, every bit helps, and I appreciate the hell out of you guys. It's really pretty fabulous getting to live this dream. My whole life I've been striving to create something, and finally putting out something I'm proud of is a remarkable experience. If nothing else, it's something to put on my epitaph.

Wristbands are in, they're black, embossed plastic, that's kind of hard to get a good picture of. I'm including one with every shirt purchase, but if you just want to help a brother out and buy some, they're 2 bucks each, or 2 for 3 if you're thrifty.

I like wearing my own t-shirt, but it's kind of like a giant nametag. A little embarrassing in public.

As far as music news goes, I'm not stopping to breathe for a second. Hidalgos is still moving, an album is in the works, and a single is right around the corner. It's been mad fun, but it turns out we're all poor and busy, so it's a process to get these tracks out the door. It'll be totally worth the wait though, what we're working on right now is pretty freaking ill. On top of that, Whoremoans and I have hooked up with Australian producer, Ben Wheeldon for a new project called "Optimists League". These beats have been fantastic to work with, and a lot of fun to rap on, you guys are going to love it. It'll be like 'Felt'. (haha)

In the world of my solo stuff, album number two is already in the works. The response to Dead Bird was great, and gave me a lot to think about and work with. I'm currently in talks with some IDM and dubstep producers to get a really cohesive and unique sound on this next project. Also, all cash from purchases and donations (from you extra-generous gents) are going towards new gear, so god-willing, numero dos is going to improve on Dead Bird in every way.

The inspiration is back, and the poetry is pouring out at full force. Thanks again to everyone who's supported me in all this, it means the world to me and my family. Find me on facebook, like me and friend me. Show a friend Dead Bird, buy some merch, I appreciate it all.

Love, Des
